Teachers on Flocabulary Plus plans can assign personalized vocabulary practice sets on Flocabulary to give students targeted practice on vocabulary words that they’ve struggled on. These practice sets can be assigned to an entire class, small groups, or individual students, and teachers can review the results. Practice sets can be assigned for a subject (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, Vocabulary or Current Events) and include between 2 and 10 words, tailored to what each student needs to practice.

Prerequisites for creating a vocab practice assignment
In order to create a vocab practice assignment for a student in a subject, the student needs to have completed one or more vocabulary activities in a lesson assignment for that subject. We use their scores from these activities to determine which words to include in the student’s practice set. To learn more about creating lesson assignments, click here.
Components of a vocab practice assignment
Each vocab practice assignment will include between 2 and 10 words in the subject selected. The set of words will be personalized for each student based on their previous scores. The words will come from no more than 5 different lessons.
Study Material
Students will receive flashcards for each of the words that allow them to review the word meanings.
They’ll also be able to view the lesson videos where they encountered the words to see them used in context.
The flashcards and videos are optional for students to complete. Teachers will be able to see whether and to what extent students engaged with these study materials.
Personalized Vocab Game
Students will then receive a personalized Vocab Game with more questions about their set of words. Students answer vocabulary questions while building a hip-hop beat, earning new instruments for correct answers.
The Vocab Game is required for students to complete. The study materials are locked while the Vocab Game is in progress.

Reviewing the results of a vocab practice assignment

Click “Review” to see an assignment summary showing the number of flashcards and videos each student viewed and their score on the personalized vocab game.
Click on a student’s vocab game score or “Individual Review” to see each question that a student answered and their response.
Click “Comprehension Analysis” to see the number of questions each student got correct for each word in their practice set, organized by word. Note that because the set of words is customized for each student, each student will receive different words.
